The official headquarters of HELP Congo is located in Pointe-Noire, in the Republic of
Congo. Pointe Noire is also the location of the information center and environmental
education.
The Sanctuary site in Conkouati is located near the border of Gabon and welcomes
orphaned chimpanzees. It is also the location of our pilot plantation where we grow
palm trees, eucalyptus and acacias. It represents the main base for HELP Congo on the
ground. It is accessible by car on a single lane.

The Bivouac is located in the forest, and is inhabited by young chimpanzees making an
early transition into the wild. A human presence is maintained to ensure safety, monitor
development and provide supplement feeding. |

The Triangle is the release site for reintroduced chimpanzees. It is a forested area of
about 21 km², divided into two camps that house the team in charge of monitoring
released individuals. It is accessible only by boat.
Here, chimpanzees are followed in their daily travel to conduct surveys of information
about their social behavior, diet, encounters with other animals and their interactions
with groups of wild chimpanzees.
